Terms of Service
Last updated: September 2026 — Barnaby Bright / AlphaSaphir, Switzerland
By placing an order on this website you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them before purchasing. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the laws of your country of residence.
1. About Us
Barnaby Bright is a children’s book brand operated by AlphaSaphir, Switzerland.
Email: info@alphasaphir.ch
2. Products & Print-on-Demand
All Barnaby Bright books are physical, non-personalised picture books printed on demand by our fulfilment partner Lulu Direct (MagCloud Inc.). Each book is printed individually when you place your order. Prices are displayed in CHF and may vary by region. We reserve the right to update prices or discontinue titles.
3. Orders & Contract Formation
An order is an offer to purchase. Your order is accepted, and a binding contract formed, when we send you an order confirmation email. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders in cases of pricing errors, fraud, or unavailability.
4. Pricing & Taxes
Prices shown are per book. Applicable VAT, GST, or sales tax may be added at checkout depending on your location. Import duties for cross-border shipments are the customer’s responsibility.
5. Payment
We accept major credit and debit cards. Payment is processed securely by our payment providers. By submitting payment details, you confirm they are accurate and that you are authorised to use the payment method.
6. Fulfilment & Shipping
Orders are fulfilled by Lulu Direct and typically dispatched within 2–4 business days. Delivery times vary by destination. See our Shipping Policy for full details including costs and estimated timelines by country.
7. Consumer Rights by Region
EU & EEA
You have a 14-day right of withdrawal under Directive 2011/83/EU. These books are standard (non-personalised) goods; the exception for custom goods does not apply. See our Returns Policy for the full process.
United Kingdom
You have a 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
Australia
Our books are supplied with Australian Consumer Law guarantees of acceptable quality and accurate description. These guarantees cannot be excluded.
Canada
Applicable provincial consumer protection laws apply to your purchase.
United States
There is no federal right of return, but we honour our returns policy for defective or incorrectly shipped items as described in our Returns Policy.
8. Intellectual Property
All Barnaby Bright content — including illustrations, character design, text, logos, and brand assets — is the sole property of AlphaSaphir and is protected by international copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, adapt, or create derivative works without express written permission. Purchase of a book grants you a personal, non-commercial licence to read the book.
9. Accuracy of Information
We take reasonable care to ensure product descriptions, images, and prices are accurate. Minor colour variations between on-screen images and printed books may occur due to print production processes.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, AlphaSaphir’s total liability for any claim arising from the use of this website or purchase of our products shall not exceed the amount you paid for the product in question. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
11. Governing Law & Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland (Swiss Code of Obligations). For EU and UK consumers, mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence also apply and take precedence where they offer greater protection. For disputes, we encourage you to contact us first at hello@barnabybright.com. EU consumers may also use the ODR platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms at any time. The current version is published here with the date above. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
